Life goes on!!! Whether you choose to move on or stay behind.
Hello friends! I hope you all are healthy and are taking all precautions. I request you all to please don’t take COVID lightly, and take care of yourself and your family.
If we talk about today’s topic, then in this we will try to understand the value of our lives. And for that, we need to read this story, which is given below:
Once upon a time, there was a man who lives with his family in a village. He was living a happy life with his family and friends. One day, his son came to him and said:
Son: “Father, I want to ask you something.”
Father: “Yes son, tell me, what do you wanna ask?”
Son: “Father, what is the value of our life?”
The man thought for a while and then said to his son.
Father: “Son, go to my room and bring my black bag.”
The son went to the room and brought that bag and gave that to his father. His father took something out of the bag and gave that to his son.
Son: “What is this father?”
Father: “Son, this is a stone, take this stone to the market, and if anyone comes to you and ask about the price of this stone. At that time, don’t say a word and raise up two fingers.”
Son: “Okay, father.”
The son went to the market and he was wandering around. Suddenly, an old man approached him and asked him for the price of that stone. The boy said nothing and raised his two fingers. The old man said, “2 dollars, fine! I’ll take it”. The boy said nothing and ran away to his house and when he reached his home, he started shouting:
Son: “Father, father, where are you?”
Father: “Yes son, here I am.”
The son told everything to his father that has happened in the market.
Father: “Okay that’s great! Now son, take this same stone and go to the museum. And remember one thing, that if anyone asks for the price of the stone, at that time, don’t say a word and raise up two fingers”
Son: “Okay father.”
The son went to the museum and started wandering around. Suddenly, a middle-aged woman approached him and asked him for the price of that stone. The boy said nothing and raised his two fingers. The middle-aged woman said, “200 dollars, fine! I’ll take it”. The boy was surprised and run home to his father.
And after reaching the home, he told all the incident that has happened in the museum.
Father: “Okay that’s awesome! Now son, the last place I want you to go is the precious stone store. When you will walk inside the store with this stone, at that time, if anyone asks for the price of the stone, don’t say a word, just raise two fingers.”
Son: “Okay father.”
Finally, after finding the store, the son found it. He went into the store. As he entered the store, an old man who was sitting on the counter, just look at the stone, and shout: “Oh my god, you have the stone, I have been looking for my whole life! What do you want for it? How much is it? The boy said nothing and just raised his two fingers. The old man said, “200,000 dollars, fine! I’ll buy it”. The boy was totally surprised and started running away towards his home. After reaching his home, he shared the incident with his father. After listening to all this, his father said:
Father: “You see son! Did you now understand the value of your life?”
Son said nothing.
Father: “Life is all about where you place yourself. You can decide that if you wanna be a 2 dollar stone or a 200,000 dollar stone. There are some people who love you and for whom you are everything. And some people will just use you as a commodity and for them, you will be worth nothing. So it is upon you my son, to decide your value.”
Son was happy and satisfied with his father’s answer.
This story teaches us an amazing lesson. That it’s in our hand that where we want to put ourselves, and what we want from our life. Don’t waste your life on wrong people, wrong work, or consuming bullshit. Because you are creating your life on a daily basis. You are the author of your life story, make it different and amazing. Be aware that with whom and with what are you spending your life. And always remember that our first priority should be our happiness. And happiness is directly proportional to our productivity and effectiveness towards our work.
Life is too short to regret, live each day like it’s your last. It’s not just for saying, but it’s the truth that we can die anytime, anywhere. So start living before you die. Be grateful for everything that you have, because I am sure, most of the people working bloody hard day and night to live life like yours.
